Permanent Jewelry FAQs

What is Permanent Jewelry? Permanent jewelry is a custom-fitted necklace, bracelet, or anklet that is welded together without a clasp, creating a seamless and lasting design. These pieces symbolize enduring memories and connections, making them both meaningful and stylish.

How does welding work? We use a precision welding process to join the ends of your jewelry securely. This is a quick and safe procedure performed in our studio, ensuring a perfect fit and a seamless finish. The welding process is painless and leaves no sharp edges or discomfort.

Can I remove my permanent jewelry? Yes, while the jewelry is designed to be permanent, it can be removed if needed. Simply snip the chain at the welded link with a pair of scissors or wire cutters. If you’d like it re-welded later, you can schedule an appointment with us.

Can I personalize my jewelry with charms and connectors? Absolutely! We offer a variety of charms, gemstones, and connectors to personalize your piece. These add-ons allow you to make your jewelry uniquely yours and reflect your individual style.

How long will my permanent jewelry last? With proper care, permanent jewelry can last for years. We use high-quality materials like 14K Gold Filled and .925 Sterling Silver, which are designed to withstand everyday wear. Regular maintenance and cleaning will keep your jewelry looking its best.

What is the age requirement for permanent jewelry? We require clients to be at least 12 years old to receive permanent jewelry. For minors under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present during the appointment.

Can I wear my permanent jewelry in the shower, pool, or through airport security? Yes, you can wear your permanent jewelry in the shower and pool. Our materials are water-resistant, but it’s best to rinse with fresh water after swimming in chlorinated or salt water to maintain its shine. Permanent jewelry will not set off metal detectors at airport security, so you can travel worry-free.

What if the weld breaks? Can you re-weld? If your jewelry breaks at the weld and the original service was completed by Nova Bond, we offer free re-welding within the first 6 months. After 6 months, or if the original service was performed by another provider, a $20 re-welding fee applies. Simply book a re-welding appointment with us, and we’ll have your jewelry good as new in no time.
